In a world often focused on what divides us, it is our ability to care — to act — that truly unites us. Through your support of NAKUONA e.V. you remind us that we all have the capacity for positive impact in our world.
Our big project this year was to renovate the toilets and showers at the orphanage Tumaini. After months of fundraisng, your generosity made it possible for the children at Tumaini to have beautiful, clean, and well-functioning hygiene facilities. A vital step in creating a comfortable and secure environment for the children.
The orphanage Tumaini, which means “hope” in Swahili, is more than just a shelter. It’s a place that the children call home. With your continued support, the children are receiving not only the basic essentials, but through every act of kindness are being reminded: ‘I matter’.

Food, hygiene articles, towels and toiletries were donated.
Toilets and showers for the boys and girls were renovated, made functional, clean and hygienic.
