Maison d’Accueil is more than just an orphanage — it’s a sanctuary of hope for children who have lost everything. The 118 children living at Maison d’Accueil sleep in separate spaces because there is no building suitable to house all of them. All the spaces are in desperate need of repair, but most urgent is the building where the youngest children sleep, eat, and socialize. It is not suitable for the children to live in; the roof leaks heavily during rain, the walls have holes, and the doors are not fully functional, leaving the children exposed to the elements.
