This project was completed at Centre Orphelinat Tumaini (C.O.T) in December 2022. This donation drive was combined with a first time, privately financed visit to the orphanage by the founders of NAKUONA e.V .. “Seeing the children’s faces, hearing their voices and experiencing first-hand where they live, was extremely emotional; we are so thankful for this experience. What we witnessed has given us an even greater urgency to awaken compassion, mobilize even more support and increase effort to support the orphans in the Democratic Republic of Congo.” – the founders

NAKUONA e.V. desires to establish a tradition of running special end-of-year donation drives annually to help bring Christmas cheer to the orphans at Centre Orphelinat Tumaini (C.O.T). NAKUONA will provide the children with food, toiletries and hopefully some Christmas goodies. This season is the best time to remind the children that they are cherished and seen by a loving God who gave us the greatest gift – His son!
